Experiential Learning

The Brand Hub is building a model for experiential and team-based learning in Advertising, centered around design thinking and innovation.
The Hub for Brand Innovation engages students in learning activities, both inside and outside the classroom. Students learn by doing through hands-on, interdisciplinary projects with a focus on human centered design. Using this model, students are better able to connect the theories and knowledge they have gained to real-world situations. The Brand Hub promotes action-based learning and cross campus partnerships through the following projects and programs.

Brand Hub Online Certificate Programs

We are currently developing professional online certificate programs in Digital Media Management and Media Analytics, with more programs in the works.

Advertising & CS + Advertising Course Enrichment

The Brand Hub works with undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students through independent, capstone and in-class projects. Through the implementation of simulations, tools and projects, we actively support experiential learning opportunities within all Advertising courses at the university.

Industry Training and Certification Workshops

Industry partners come to the Brand Hub to provide workshops, tips and support to students seeking accreditation in specialized topics and more skills based expertise in such fields as e-commerce, data analytics and digital media content creation.

The Sandage Student Showcase

A biannual event where Advertising students gather to share and demo their class projects to fellow College of Media students, alums, invited industry guests and the campus.
